A family business that has spanned 3 generations. Walter Zebiak started raising houses in Vancouver after the second world war, originally running the business out of his backyard in East Vancouver. His long term employees Bob and Jere Vickars became like family to Walter and the sons he never had. Bob and Jere expanded the business and branched into structural repair and helical piles. The business continued to grow with the next Generation led by Josh Vickars taking over in 2012. Two long standing foreman Wes Thoreson and Sebastian Mann became partners buying into the business in 2023. While continuing to excel in house lifting and helical piles Josh, Wes and Seb expanded and have offered excavation and soldier pile services for over a decade. Zebiak Group is now the leading BC company in the specialized fields of House Lifting, Mini-Machine Excavation, Helical and Soldier Piles.

Our Team

Josh | President

Josh is a hands-on leader who oversees company projects from start to finish. His focus is on customer satisfaction and building upon Zebiak’s long standing reputation of workmanship and safety. He values his friendships with the many builders, developers, homeowners, engineers and trades he has collaborated with over the years, drawing on these connections to solve complex construction challenges.

Wes | Chief of Lifting Operations

Wes has honed his house raising expertise lifting and moving hundreds of houses, buildings, roofs and other structures over the past decade. Wes takes pride in his work, is detailed oriented and has a reputation of getting the job done consistently.

Seb | Chief of Piling and Excavating Operations

Seb has the skill and experience to transform muddy and difficult sites into crisp and tidy excavations. After spending thousands of hours in the operators seat, he now mentors up and coming operators and pile installers and ensures a high standard across all Zebiak sites.
